One Room Challenge – Week 5 – DIY PegBoard

Alright, we are just finishing up with week 5 and I seriously cannot believe how incredibly fast these weeks have flown by. That means there is only ONE more week until the BIG reveal. Oh my!!! I am working as fast as humanly possible and that deadline seems awfully tight…Wish me luck guys, I’m gonna need it! May 9th is sneaking on us so quickly!

As always, it is so inspiring to see all the other guest participants designs and of course the featured designers, as well. Be sure to have a look on the One Room Challenge (ORC) Blog site to see all the amazing projects going on.

DIY Teacher Gifts

It’s that time of year to thank all the amazing people who help support our children and help them grow. Teachers do so much for our children all year it is really nice to thank them, especially at the holidays for all their hard work and patience. It is so difficult to come up with new and creative ideas each year for the teachers. The standard go-to gifts are always appreciated by the teachers, but sometimes it is fun to get creative.

This year, I am working on a DIY Personalized Wooden Pencil Holder. I actually bought one of these off of Etsy a few years back for one of my amazing teachers and thought to myself ~Hey, I could totally make this myself…if I had the time of course. Well, this is the year! This would also be a great gift for Teacher Appreciation Week or End of the Year Gift.

So…Let’s Get Creating! 😉

Making Magical Halloween Costumes & Memories

Since I was a little girl, my Grandmother, Mimi, would make me the most amazing and spectacular costumes. She would take me to the fabric shop and let me pick whatever I wanted. I was literally a kid in my own type of candy store. Anything my little heart could dream, was her command. Of course, I would request the most lavish costumes you could imagine and without fail they would always show up even better then I envisioned. These memories are implanted into my soul, they makeup a huge part of the creative person I am today.

DIY Shiplap Wall – Quick, Easy & Cheap

As first time homeowners, I was so excited to get into this house and really make it my own. It had lots of potential but, required some much needed love!!! In our previous houses, which were normally base housing for the Army, the only thing I could do to make it my own was to paint. Sometimes, I would paint every single wall in the house and others I would pick accent walls to do. All those white walls, would make me crazy. Funny because now in my own home I keep painting everything Bright White!
