DIY Teacher Holiday Gifts with The Christmas Tree Shops andThat!

This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, a brand I love. All opinions here are my own.

Are you ready for the Holiday’s? Do you need a little extra help making or shopping for those last minute gifts? I have the cutest, simplest DIY gift that is perfect for anyone on your list. I am super excited to team up with  Christmas Tree Shops andThat! again to help you find or make the perfect gift!

Between all three of my kids, somehow we have about 25 teacher gifts this year. The teachers work so hard every year, especially this year, which is why I wanted to make something special for their main teachers and something easy and cute for the other 21…that’s right 21! But, that also means we need to make something affordable.

While shopping in the Christmas Tree Shops andThat! , I quickly remembered why the store is called andThat! I found so many amazing stocking stuffers for all the kiddos…so great to check that off my huge holiday shopping list. There was something for everyone on my list. I even found the most amazing baskets for myself, which is exactly what happened last time I went shopping there. Note to self amazing baskets are at the Christmas Tree Shops andThat!

Alright, so teachers gifts. When I went shopping, I had no plan for what I wanted to get or make. I hoped to get inspired by what I found at the store and quickly decided on amazing gift baskets for the main teachers. I went with of course, cute baskets (I told you), I thought these are great because they are perfect to use after the holidays. Along with the throw blankets I found. I was in BIG debates between the looks of the gift baskets. Did I want to do Fun & Festive or Classic & Simple?

Any guesses which way I went? If you don’t know me by now, I always go for BOTH…lol! I decided it would be fun to do two of each. Christmas Tree Shops andThat! had many amazing fun things to add to the baskets making them so festive. I decided on color-themed matching mugs for each, along with tons of goodies; hot cocoa, peppermint sticks, coffee drinks, tons of chocolate, tea and so much more!

I love to add a little DIY to make the gift more personal. I also still needed to make the other 20 gifts…Lol! While shopping I found the cutest mason jars for around one dollar. I thought the perfect gift idea when having to make tons of gifts would be a Stove Top Potpourri. This is very simple to make. It also looks so beautiful and festive!!

DIY Stovetop Potpourri Gift Recipe

Supplies:

  • Mason Jars
  • Oranges
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Cloves
  • Cranberries
  • Christmas Tree branch
  • Tags (Download Printable)

This is super easy…Just add all your ingredients to your mason jar. I layered mine adding cranberries first, followed by the cloves. Next, was the orange, then cinnamon sticks and last was the Christmas tree branches. The kids actually did this part and everyone had the best time!

I had my daughter create labels for all the jars, which I thought was the perfect touch. This made them even more personal.

Then, I cut paper grocery store bags and added them to the lids. I tied them together with yarn and string. Adding the tag, along with a cinnamon stick for a fun, finishing touch.

This is such an easy, cost friendly gift idea for anyone! It’s also thoughtful, so even though it doesn’t cost much, it just shows that you took the time to think of them. Who doesn’t love that? Also, the smell makes your house smell amazing.

To finish off these amazing baskets, I added an ornament to the front along with some holiday greenery, which I think added the best finishing touch. My kids can’t wait to hand out their gifts to their teachers this year!
